Ken Smith Bass live in my metal band
Hey,
For those of you who are interested, here is a live clip from the show i recently played with my Ken Smith. I am running it straight into a Markbass LMK head. This was also the song that my pickup malfunctioned in. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a7IfD7zT1B4 Mike |

I wish the sound quality was better so we could hear that Smith more.. From what i can hear it almost sounds like gothic metal?
Not sure.. Do you get weird looks when you get on stage at a metal club and break out a Smith bass? I get a lot of weird looks and many people asking about it all the time.. Smith's just don't look "metal" but I get plenty of compliments on the tone after they get over the look..

I actually only recently got my Smith, so I haven't taken it out too much. I didn't any derogatory comments about the look however I was told that the sound was very clear and cut through quite nicely. I get more comments about playing six strings. If you are interested in hearing the smith recorded check out this bands myspace.
http://www.myspace.com/urheimat The song "Unborn Star" was recorded with the Smith and the other one was done with my old Dingwall. If you are interested you can check out my other band Nebucadnezzer. http://www.myspace.com/nebucadnezzer |

I don't get derogatory comments about it. I get people asking what kind of bass it is, price, why I chose it, etc.. it generates interest..
